In Search of Celtic Saints
St Patrick - All over Ireland and notably in St Patrick’s Cathedral. St Kevin - at Glendalough. St Ciarnan - At Clonmacnoise. St Brigid - at her holy wells. St Enda - on Innis Mor in the Aran Islands. These believers from the fifth and sixth centuries led others to Jesus through prayer, education, and service. The Celtic Christian faith was deep as the native peoples saw God in the beauty of nature and in all creation. Monks kept Christianity alive even through the Dark Ages. These saints of old continue to inspire us pilgrims as we walk the paths of pilgrims before us. Pat, Gayle, and I send warm greetings from the Emerald Isle. Deep peace of the running wave to you. Deep peace of the flowing air to you. Deep peace of the quiet earth to you. Deep peace of the shining stars to you. Deep peace of the son of peace to you. Judy Q
