Pre-COVID, many people at St. James were part of a shared feeding ministry with others at the First United Methodist Church (now Cornerstone Methodist Church).

Why am I so drawn to the ministry of Episcopal Relief & Development? For over 20 years now I have grown deeper and deeper in my understanding and appreciation of the importance of this ministry in our Church and in our world.

We at St. James are very fortunate to have such a wonderful pipe organ. If you have never been in our choir loft to inspect it, I encourage you to do so.

One of my Lenten Disciplines this year is to reconnect with friends, many with whom I’ve lost touch.

With Valentine’s Day commercialization everywhere, I suppose “Love” is in the air. May we all enjoy chocolates, flowers, perhaps a special meal to celebrate with our beloved. But these days I wonder where is the love?

Before the Opening Eucharist of our Diocesan Convention at the gracious Princess Theatre in Decatur, we had invitations to visit the two churches in Decatur, historic St. John’s and Good Shepherd.
