A Note From Father Rob

Our Lenten journey continues in much the same way it started; and yet, we will turn a corner this Sunday as we enter the fifth week of the season.

In a few days, we will enter the last week before Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week at St. James. The spiritual ‘wondering in the wilderness’ on which we have embarked during this Lenten season is coming to a close. It reminds me of the Old Testament story from last week’s readings. We can see the end of our journey just ahead, but we are not there yet.

As we prepare for the unfolding of events that will lead us into the final hours of our own passion, grief, loss and renewal, let us stand firm in our commitments to God and set our hearts on the victory that lies just ahead.
