A Note From Father Rob

Beginning this Sunday, after the nine o’clock service, I will hold a confirmation class for anyone wishing to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church. This class will also be for anyone who wishes to reaffirm baptismal vows and the faith to which they have committed themselves.

These classes will be in preparation of the bishop’s visit to our lake service on July 27. Indeed, the Rt. Rev. Glenda Curry will be visiting us and performing the service of confirmation, reception and affirmation. This service is an opportunity to affirm your beliefs as an Episcopalian or be transferred from a different denomination. It is also a chance for reaffirmation. If you were baptized as a baby, then adults said vows on your behalf. This could be your time, as an adult, to affirm those words spoken for you.

And another good reason to come to confirmation class is, my classes are always fun, and we have a good time learning together. So, I’ll see you at the service; and then, after a little coffee, I’ll see you in the classroom.

Peace my friends, Rob+
