Summertime

Summertime has always been my favorite season. I have always loved the long days, full of light. Yes, it’s a bit hot in the South, but this native Floridian has always relished the warmth of summertime.

A good friend of mine (also a native Floridian) shared a book of poetry which includes this meditation on our summer season. The Reverend Timothy Dale Jones (Hendersonville, NC) ponders light in all the seasons, offering this reflection on summer light:
