From The Desk of Deacon Judy

Un Grand Merci!

Forgive me for babbling in French but my French friend since my university days arrived Monday and I’ve been trying to brush up on my language skills.

A huge thank you to all who made the Bazaar such a roaring success this year! It is so heartwarming to see how the St. James family works together for a greater good, how each of you offer your gifts so freely – gifts of creativity, culinary gifts, organizational gifts, traffic management gifts, and so much more – all so that the Bazaar can earn funds to give back to the community. How awesome is that!

My friend and I are participating in the Episcopal Relief & Development Ministry Partner Conference. I give thanks for the amazing work of Episcopal Relief & Development as we work with dioceses and their partners to respond to disasters in the United States and around the world and as we partner with locally-led organizations throughout the Anglican Communion and beyond to advance lasting change in communities impacted by injustice, poverty, disaster, and climate change.

So in this season of Thanksgiving, I give thanks for all of our St. James family, for all organizations devoted to advancing the common good, and for the many blessings in our lives.

With gratitude,

Judy Q+
